    Default Trac II

I used a trac II today for the first time in about 26 years and it was pretty good. I am known to hate on cartridge but they were a nice way to avoid worsening my razor rash......They should have stopped there......very nice for a cartridge

I can't wait to get back to the DE but as far as carts go...me likely.

my go-to cart is the Gillette guard (for travel and 'hit the snooze too many times' mornings).

BTW, the Trac II and the Atra are good carts but those that came afterwards ...

    +1

I use the Trac II frequently. It's a great razor.

Do most people here use the BumbFighter handle for the Trac II? Or something else?

I do. Merkur makes a nice chrome handle, but since I use the Trac II blades so infrequently I opted for the $5 Bump Fighter handle, picked it up at CVS, works fine.

Bump Fighter handle is popular. Or Vintage handles pop up on the B/S/T from time to time.

I also use the bumpfighter handle for the Trac ll's. The bump fighter cartridges with their special type serrated blades are also perfect for shaving your more discreet areas.

I have a bumpfighter handle and some cheapy carts from the dollar store. I very seldom use it anymore. Mostly shaving the back of my neck. Need to get some better carts for it though.

I have an Omega Trac II handle. A cheap clone of the original Trac II handle, and the Schick International Silver handle. I prefer the Omega the most.

I have used the BumpFighter handle in the past, and it functions just fine for the cost.

I use both. I have my father in laws's 1980 Trac II handle. The Trac II isn't just a great cartridge razor, it's a great razor. In my not so humble opinion, of course.

I fully agree. I don't see the Trac II as a downgrade from the DE razor. The Trac II was truly a great razor. Things didn't get crazy until they decided better shaves were possible by adding more blades.

With the fixed, non-pivoting head it's really a lot like using a double bladed injector.

During the week, it's the Trac II more often than not. I use a Trac II Plus handle and a SuperMax SII handle which were both given to me by my father. Love and use both.

I buy Dollar Store twin blade carts which also fit the Atra. Five for a dollar and I get about 3-4 shaves a piece.
