So you are the one who out bid me on the 46 and I assumed that made it a Berkley too. And you will love that Wee Scot the knot is a little thin but its very soft.

    Hi matt

Sorry , did not know! Just cleaned the 46 , lots of the hair is missing from the center. Looks to be a previous owner was a brush twister.... But it looked cool.

Looking forward to trying the wee..... Also grabbed two other brushes off the bay from mr bob ...waitingn those and that's it fr me.

I have another Simpsons butterscotch , still has a price tag on the bottom of the brush in pure badger ... Gita get a pic up....

Bill, check out mine in this post. According to Gary Young the 40 series were often sold to retailer and their brand applied. I presume you have one of these.

I was trying to get one to match my un-marked one - but you beat me to it!

    Congrats

The circle on the bottom are turning marks from the lathe they were made on I would assume.

Ok, well forgive me for embarrassing you! How shameful that currently, you can only pull 2 extinct uber brushes out from nowhere per thread.

I've posted elsewhere but will include here as well for completeness.

My latest came in today -

It is a Simpson B2 in pretty good nick I think with sticker, box and instructions. It is only Pure Badger so we shall see how it goes.

It will take its place on my vanity with its butterscotch cousins -

Simpson M1 Best Badger and an unbranded one labelled 'Best badger' 'London Made' and 'Sterilized' - don't know the maker of this one.

Don't they all play nicely together
