Default The hole is too big

Ok I have two aftershaves that I'm having a problem with. Not the aftershaves themselves, but the holes in the bottles. The two culprits are Jade East and Old Spice. The holes, for me, are too big and I end up wasting a lot because of it. Now the Jade East is in a nice glass bottle and I'd like to keep it in that. The Old Spice I just bought and is in the plastic bottle. Anything I can do about this? Any method out there when pouring these into your hand to help lessen the waste? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have that problem with Aqua Velva. The way I have found that works well is this: I cup my hand and press the rim of the bottle neck firmly against the side of my hand. Tip my hand slightly away from the bottle so that when I pour the aftershave it doesn't pool around the rim, gently pour out a minimal amount, then twist the bottle as I slide it along the side of my hand towards my wrist. This last step wipes the rim clean so that I don't get any dribbles down the bottle. It has worked really well for me.
So basically just press the bottle tightly against your cupped hand, and then wipe the neck off with a little twist of the bottle.
    Hope that helps.

Or just put your thumb over the opening. That way, you can control how much liquid you want to come out of the bottle.

+1 I use my index finger instead of my thumb.

+1 Index finger works on all, including my Dominica Bay rum with no stopper or restriction in the opening.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Don't know why I never thought about using my thumb or finger to block the opening. So simple yet never occured to me.

with Old Spice, back when I used it, I remember when you shake the bottle, a small amount comes out, but when you pour it slowly, a lot comes out. Don't be afraid to shake the bottle. Same with the Pinaud and Masters bottles. Shake 'em.

I've had this problem since forever, i used aqua velva when i first started shaving when i was 19.

I didn't even THINK of covering the hole with my finger until i joined B&B, after i read the suggestion i just thought "why did i never think of this before?"

Here is a different approach: I found a source that is a science surplus store. They have black rubber stoppers with small pre-drilled holes. Take the cap off and insert the rubber stopper. No finger, no thumb, no waste.

I just shake the bottle with my finger semi blocking the opening.
