My wife and I are extreme history buffs. We love anything old. I think that's part of how I ended up shaving with antique razors. My daughter is into anything from the 60's, clothes, vinyl records, furnishings, etc. My son prefers the 50's, old Hot Wheels, and old soda bottles. He's been adding to his soda bottle collection by digging up bottles from the woods behind our house. So today, we decided to make it a family affair, basically digging into an old hill in the woods that was apparently a favorite dumping place for the family that used to live here back in the 60's and 70's. We found lots of old jars and bottles still intact, along with many more busted ones. His favorite is an old Mountain Dew bottle that has the same design as the recent throwback labels. Once he finishes cleaning his new collection, I'll have to post some pics. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't have a future archaeologist on my hands.

Must be lots of fun when your whole family can stop and look in antique stores and every one is interested.
