When changing the blade in my DE recently, I noticed numbers on the corners of the Derby blades that I use 1 and 2 , then 3 and 4 on the reverse?
Am I suppose to flip the blade around as well???![]()

"See You Out There...."
This question comes up every once in a while. No need to flip your blades, as there are only 2 cutting edges per blade anyway. Flipping them essentially accomplishes nothing. You can ignore the numbers as they are simply there for manufacturing and quality control purposes. Enjoy your shaves!![]()

It is okay to flip them, but the difference will be so small as to probably be undetectable. Just use both edges, either alternately in the same shave, or in rotation from one shave to the next, or use one side until dull and then the other, or do it my way, just do it randomly and toss the blade when you don't get a good shave from it any more.
