    Default "New" question

I have a brass and copper New. It polishes up nicely. Question... Was this razor manufactured as a brass and copper razor, or was it plated and mine has just lost all of it's plating?

Yup, the plating's just gone. They do look nice that way, though. The problem is that the brass tarnishes pretty quickly.

I have a NEW that has lost some of its plating at the top. The brass underneath actually turns pink as it tarnishes. You could try some Tarn-X or Brasso on it once a month if you are picky about your razor's appearance.

I've got the same thing and find (I think) it looks quite nice that way
