How about Schick?

As a relative newbie that has recently embraced DE shaving again I see numerous posts here about vintage Gillette razors and their merits. I remember the Gillette commercials but can not remember any from Schick - didn't they make razors? For the life of me I can't remember any. I do know I have not seen anything about vintage Schick razors here - did they only make blades??

There are 1,000's of topics about the Schick injector razors and the Schick Krona double edge razor posted in the last six years.

i use a Schick KRONA all the time...very nice, mile shaver and very cheap to purchase.

i've got two of them, 1 i'm using and 1 that a buddy is trying out.

I think there are a lot of Schick injector users here. I have a few and think they may be from the 40s.

Schick for the most part made, and marketed the Schick Injector.

In my opinion (and in the opinion of many who have tried them) the Injector is superior to a DE razor (which is not to say a DE razor is bad; not by any means). It's simply easier to use a Schick (hold the razor flat against your face, and shave; you don't have worry about the angle).

However, shaving with an Injector will likely remind the average user of a cartridge razor, and many would thus view using an Injector as not very challenging/ exciting.

Schick also did make DE razors (such as the Schick Krona) which are said to be of very good quality.
