Sun's effect on AS?

I read an after shave ad which said the AS's colored bottle helped protect it from direct sunlight.

For about a month, I've had my AS bottles where they get hit by direct sunlight in the afternoon. I haven't noticed anything, but can I expect something over time?

Yes, but what kind of time are we talking about? Will you use them up in a year?

To be on the safe side, it's best to keep them in a cool dark place. However, that would be considered an "ideal" that it is sometimes difficult to meet!

Well, I can't guarantee that all my after shaves will be used in a year. So what IS the effect of direct sunlight on AS?

The sun is energy. Some visible some...invisible. You got a lot of energy pouring into those bottles causing evaporation, oxidation, confabulation and finally capitulation.

Photons are knocking the electrons up one orbit, down another. Energy is being released. Finally, they give up.
