    Default Checking In

    Gentleman,

I am new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself.

I am 35, and new to "correct" shaving. I had no role model, so for years, I fumbled my way through. I was a Clarins user and discovered the correct way at Christmas time.

    My routine:

Shower; DR Harris Almond Oil Soap, Clarins face wash, Trevor Sorbie shampoo.

Pre-Shave: Hot flannel for 1 minute, apply castle forbes pre-shave.

Lather with CF Lavender. I use simpsons Duke 2 (Best) Edwin Jagger DE razor. Each later takes two minutes.

My 1st pass is WTG, 2nd pass is ATG.

Post Shave: Trumpers Alum block after rinsing with cold water. Then apply CF Lavender balm followed by a layer of Geo G Trumper moisture lotion.

    Superb products.

    Regards,

Welcome to the B! Have you tried WTG XTG shaves? It is all about reducing the beard growth with minimal irritation.

Anyway, you have a great start! Read, Learn, Shave, Share!

Indeed, welcome to B&B! Yes, don't forget that XTG pass, it can reduce stubble even more for the final ATG pass, makes it less irritating, for me anyway.

This soap is superb. One bar lasts a month (showering twice daily) and works out better value for money than the cheapest shower gels.

Thank you for the warm welcome everyone
