Since I've seen so many of you praising them in the COTD, I picked up a couple of Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story 'gars over the weekend. I'm very much looking forward to trying them.

They aren't very timely in ordering stuff in, but mine & others persistence with my local B&M is paying off some.

Today I got some McCelland Nocturne & Blue Mountain; as well as a tin of Peterson's Irish Flake. The Blue Mtn. has an awesome Lat scent. The Pete IF is smells sweet but strong; I'm a bit worried the nic on this one will be more than I can handle.

Well, I don't have pics yet, but I'm at the IPCPR show in Orlando, and have picked up quite a bit of pipe tobacco and Monday, I'm buying several pipes on the show floor. Oh how I love working in the tobacco industry, lol

Took a weekend trip up to the Oregon coast last weekend and popped into an antique store on the hunt. Seeing nothing on the shelves, I asked the gentleman if he had any tobacco pipes, and he pulled out two HUGE boxes full of pipes. He said it was someone's grandpa's collection that he just picked up in an estate sale. I picked up two nice straight billiards and an old Dr Grabow briar cigar holder. I'll post some pics after I get them all cleaned up.

I like it so far. Not something for all the time, but when I'm in the mood for it, I think it's a pretty solid aro. Not over-the-top like some of the cherry/vanilla ones I've tried. More like 4noggins Essence of Vermont, where the tobacco carries the day, but hints of maple come through.

Trying out an OTC blend. Convinced the local 7-11 to sell me a 1.5 oz box of Half and Half for $2. Looks like median price is around $4-$5. She has 3 boxes left and willing to cut me the same deal if I want them all. I wonder what else they have hiding in that bottom shelf...

I don't like how the stem connects to the pipe. There is separate plastic piece that screws into the mortise and the stem. Doesn't fit very well.

I saw this one on the bay, does the tenon push in or screw on only?
