How is that Autumn Evening? It sounds intriguing- that is the one season I miss the most since moving to Texas.

Did you miss it last year? It lasted for about 3 days in December I think.

Our leaves have two colors- green and alive, brown and dead. If it wasn't for year around riding, I would move back to Ohio. Unless you have experienced autumn, you cannot know the greatness of it.

I'm stoked about getting it. I'm going to have to read up on cleaning up an estate meer.

Judging by the pics it should only need a gentle reaming and a polish job on the stem and nickel, other than that it looks good, you probably already saw it but hears mine...

Picked up 50g of Dunhill Deluxe Navy Rolls, Dunhill Flake and some Brebbia stem and pipe polish. Can't wait to try the Dunhill Deluxe Navy Rolls..they smell incredible ;-)

While out of town picked up an ounce of C&D Pirate Kake to replenish my small stock as well as grabbing some C&D Nutty Irishman to try out. I went to my local shop to pick up a replacement stem for my MM Country Gentleman & while I was there I bought some Devil's Holiday on a whim & snagged the last tin of 1792 they had. I also received a few samples to give a go.

The Nutty Irishman was decent for an aro. The Devil's Holiday has a great berry smell, but I'm still undecided whether I like the flavor much.

I don't think I'll have a chance to smoke all of the 1792 this decade considering how strong it is. I'm hoping another member here might get more use out of it than me.

I realise I've been a little slack about posting here recently so here are the my last two arrivals. In many ways the first follows on from the second (if you know what I mean)

I'd started to sweat on this one. I'll be having words with our Aussie Post Parcel Pixie when I see the bugger next 'cause he delivered this downstairs. Still, 14 days from Albany, NY to (almost) my door so I can't complain to much.

Clockwise from top left: Carter-Hall box, C&D Red Odessa and Opening Night, a box of 10 Ashton's Senorita's, Astley's No55 Elizabethan underneath two Oliva Special Gs and a Fuente Hemingway Short Story, a couple of Fuente Brevas Royals, a bonus quarter ounce sample or Stokkebye Golden Danish and two packs of Backwoods cigars

This lot actaully arrived three weeks ago, but I've been to slack to post.

Clockwise again: SG 1792 Flake, De Nobili Populars, Meharis Brazil cigarilos, Miami Suites amaretto flavoured cigars, a tin of Macanudo Ascot Robust, Fuente Cuban Coronas and Dunhill London Mixture and Royal Yacht.

That just leaves one package in transit...

Stopped by my B&M for my payday visit. Though I've been ordering the lion's share of my tobacco online, I do try to support my local guy with at least one vist per paycheque (which is also when I make my online purchases - one per paycheque). Today's pick-up was Samuel Gawith's Skiff Mixture, which I've read is similar to Squadron Leader, but with a bit more strength.

That is what I hope to do tomorrow. We have a Tobacco Lane, and the same guy has been running it for at least 18 years that I know of. Online is nice, but sometimes I want to hold something before I buy it.

Yeah, it's nice to step into his huge humidor and smell the tobacco (mostly cigars, but he has a decent selection of pipe tobacco, too). The problem is, one tin of SG is a $28 hit, so I can't buy all my stuff from him.

    Ouch. That's what, a 100% markup?

One of the shops in OKC has tins of Marlin Flake for $49.00 each, and complain about about online purchasing. I forgot I was wearing my JR Cigar hat when I was in there.
