EverReady 300L Restore

After much purchasing of brushes, I have finally gotten around to actually restoring one. This is a neat little ER 300L that I found at an antique shop. It was in fairly good condition - except for the well worn knot - so the restore was mostly a good cleaning, polishing, and re-knot.

This one is set with a black badger from TGN. I set the knot at 55 mm to match the base height. I thought the symmetry was nice. There are still a few very small dings on the black portion above the ER lettering but I was afraid that buffing them out would ruin the lettering. I would like to be able to improve the looks of the glue line between the black and clear portions but am not willing to try separating the two.

I like the black/lucite combination and have found another one (round bottom) that I'll be working on soon.
