Default Making the Hard Soap fit Bowl

For any of you guys that want to make your soap fit the bowl try using the 38004 Fine/Spice grater w attachment from MicroPlane. It gave me a big bowl of finely grated MWF that when I packed into my Stainless Steel bowl didn't even need the required teaspoon of water. It took a little thumb strength to pack it all in but once done it was solid as a puck and ready to use and I'm sure if I had time I could have used something else to pack it with so any suggestions on what else will tightly pack the soap would be welcome!

I usually use the bottom of my VdH brush to pack them down.

I grate with a cheapo stainless grater from the supermarket. I pack with an espresso tamper covered in saran wrap.

I use a lid off a small jar of Jiff peanut butter.

I would just shave it down to fit with a paring knife.

Tamp it down with the back of a large spoon.

When I do my soaps, I grate them into the container, add a few drops of water, cover with saran wrap then press down with the bottom of a short rocks glass.

Perfect! I was just about to post a question and ask where I could find a soap bowl where DR Harris pucks fit. I love the wooden bowl, but with the varying humidity here the lid get bent out of shape pretty quick.
Now I plan to grate the Arlington into a nice little puck and buy tye Apothecary mug from Muhle!

Should be able to split the puck in two and make a small travel soap as well in a metal container...

Thanks guys! This is just why B&B is so great!

Odd, I use my thumbs to pack the soap after using a "box" cheese grater.
