Default My west Tx cabin view, pics inside

Wanted to share a few pics of the view from my cabin in west Tx near big bend. So quiet your ears ring from the silence! At night there are so many stars.....the mountains....hard to describe in words, so I will let the pics do the talking.
First up, a view from my cabin door. The Corazone mountain...AR15 suppressor porn.

Second is a pic of the mountain behind my cabin. SBR porn

Third is the Christmas mountain. I have to drive about 5 miles around the mountain behind my cabin to view it.

To say I'm jealous would be an absolute understatement. That looks like an amazing place to live.

Mule deer mainly. Tons of mountain lions, bobcats, coyote, javelina, fox etc. I love it out there. It is my place to escape from the hectic job life of home in central Tx.
People do live there & if I had to I could.....very hard living though. Groundwater is not potable. Very high sulfuric content. Most folks there have water brought in or rainwater storage.......when it rains!

Oddly.....no. Didn't see any. But they are there.....by the ton. Nights and morning were still cool. About noon to 6 pm were the warm part of the day so they may not be out hunting just yet.

My dad lives out in the Arizona desert on a 30 acre spread. He has a water tank on a small trailer that holds about 500 gallons. He takes it into town and fills it up for a few bucks. Then he pumps it up to a water tower for gravity feed to the sink and toilet. He has solar panels for power, and he uses a cell phone.

Thanks for the pix. I love west Texas. It has been a few years since my last trip but I just started planning my next visit: Guadalupe Mts/Ft. Davis/Big Bend. I may not shave for days....

Be careful out there. I can tell from that second pic you have crossed come sort of line in the sand.
