Default 2nd Shave Not as Smooth as the First

Ahhh, at last, something to really talk about here.

The second shave was today. Hot shower. Nice lather again with some soap and Proraso.

Useing the Rainbow razor I used for my first shave. (Sample pack)

I felt some pulling this time while shaving. I did everything exactly the same. But this time it felt like it was pulling my face at times. I would stop, readjust, and a little later, it would be pulling again.

Although my wife was again please with the BBS shave, tonight, I had a minor pimple on my chin, and some chaff on the sides of my under neck.

Not a whole lot, but it's there.

Used the clubmen after shave, and it burned like a MOTHER today. Haha

I put a little face lotion my wife has on my face tonight to help with the chaff.

I am sure I will get a little heat here for that one, not sure if that was the right call, but I had nothing else.

So I am also looking for suggestions on what I should stock up on for this situation.

    Thanks again gents!

Congrats on your second! Pulling could be prep, a dull blade, and/or pressure/angle
I like alum and a shave balm after shaving. Nivea after shave balm is widely available. This still will help calm your face after any irritation. My favorite balm is T$H Grafton.

    Have fun!

Sounds like you don't really have any problems. I wouldn't sweat it. Just keep perfecting your technique. AND AVOID THESE EXPENSIVE ADs!!!

Alum blocks are used as an astringent and coagulates blood if you have any nick, cuts, weepers.

Others just use witch hazel after saving as an astringent.
