***SOLD***
Update: OK, as much as I want to sell these two razors -- "thinning the herd", as a B&B wordsmith recently wrote -- I don't want to "give 'em away"; "paying it forward" is a good practice, but to do so with expensive razors, or other comparable shaving items, is both out-of-place and awkwardly burdensome to the recipient (unless s/he's a close friend, etc.) So, here's my "final offer": $75 (same terms as listed below). If nobody buys them by Friday evening, I'll have to take 'em off the market (and put 'em back into that cigar box, which is pretty cramped and stuffy, and when the lid is closed and latched and put into the closet, it gets kinda "close", ya know? and they can't see anything, and they know I'm not gonna take 'em out and use 'em for a long, long time). Help find a foster home for these razors!
I am putting-up for-sale this matched pair of gold- and silver-plated, thick-handled, 1930s Gillette "NEW" safety razors.
There are no scratches on the caps (or anywhere else), no brassing or plating-loss whatsoever, no loss-of-lacquer. Look at those teeth -- they're a dentist's dream! The only blemish on either razor is a light patch on the upper portion of the silver-plated razor's handle (see last photo). Update: Even with Maas and a toothbrush, then some more Maas and a Dremel tool's felt polishing-pad, the blemish persists; I tried. If we were in Israel, I'd simply say: זכר חרבן בית שני and leave it at that.
I prefer to not break-up the pair. The cost for the set is $95.00 $90.00 (US), via PayPal; this includes S/H by USPS Priority Mail and appropriate insurance. Note: If you use a credit-card to make the PayPal payment, there will be an additional charge of $5.00 to offset PayPal's fees.
If interested, send me a PM.
