This happened to anyone?

It seems as if every few shaves I start thinking the last razor used will be the one I could use from now on. Ironically most of my acquisitions are Gillette DE's and I've never thought that but once or twice on those. Namely the Sheraton and RedTip. It must be that the SE's are just better performers for me. Oddly the given there popularity, the adjustables gather dust in my den.

Does this epiphany befall anyone else?

I never use adjustables either.

I never used a SE either.

That'll happen. It takes a while to find your RAD killer.
If you're not collecting there is a good market here for what you don't use.
I hit a phase with DE's where I wanted to try everything possible.
Then I started collecting them.
Now I'm looking at getting rid of them for straights.

It's a never ending cycle.

+1 For a year I've been grooving on fixed-head DEs and I think I'll be stuck on them for the foreseeable future,

I just can't use any thing else other that my Muhle R89. I have a vintage Gillette, an Ever Ready SE and a Dovo Straight. The R89 is my RAD killer. I used to think I wanted an adjustable, but then I think why? I can't see that anything is going to shave me better than this.

I've used an old Aristocrat for a week and used a Slant Merkur this morning with a KAI.

I just can't decide.

I love how my Deluxe style Big Fellow and the New Standards too.

I was going to ship my Senator out (which I LOVE) for a fresh coat of nickel, but I can't... I need to buy a spare first!

I think the thing that I have an issue with is stretching blades past the useful life. Then I get frustrated and switch razors. Usually this involves a new blade.

Then I think WOW what a great shave!!

I am sure if I used a new blade more often I could settle on tow or three razors.

I just LOVE laying out my gear the night before and picking a shave cream and brush. I set it up and go to bed.

I can't believe shaving used to be a part of my daily routine I hardly gave a thought to. Running out of aerosol shave cream was the only thing I worried about- that or my wife stealing my cartridges...

Thank goodness I don't have toothbrush - paste acquisition disorder.

I'd have my choppers worn down to nubs by now.
