    Default A little den modification

Here's a little project I did recently. These are actually the only razors I have now. I've plowed through many and PIF'd away several and sold several on the B/S/T. For those interested they are, from left to right starting on the shelf,

    British Rocket HD
    Fatboy
    40's Superspeed
    Redtip
    Aristocrat (late 40's)
    Muhle R89
cooncatbob Bull Mastiff Ultra-Lite with Muhle head

(the pic of my wife is a little bonus, although you can't really see how beautiful she really is, which she is!)

The shelf seems to work at giving me a view of my complete rotation. I got it in an antique store and did some refinishing and modifications to it. It really looks sweet up close. It suits my "minimalist" tendencies.

Looks good, everything at the ready, even some padding on the shelves to make it all a little softer.

It may drive me nuts that the razor hanging pegs on the lower level don't seem to create any straight line. Love how this site turns a person with plenty of razors and three brushes a "minimalist".
Razors don't shave people. People shave people!

There are three critical types of moments in life: Times when we should use opportunity to be enamoured with finer details, and times we should ignore the minutia.

If you are handy with tools you could try cutting notches in the top shelf to allow you to hang the brushes upside down. Or even some notches in the second shelf to hang the razors if you don't like them sitting on their sides like that.

But it's a darn fine hanging shave den if you ask me.

Is it just me or is was that shelf originally purposed to be hung the other way around? I love the idea of taking old and reusing it, making it your own. Looks great!

That's great. It's amazing what a little post editing will clear up in a picture. Nice shelf btw.

Nice shelf. I had an awful day and this thread put the second smile of the day on my face.

Quick curl question, do bottles work as well as cans?

I dig the shelf. Nice setup, Randall.

Always on the lookout for a good display solution as my "minimalist" tendencies (double air quote ) keep me from storing things on bathroom counters, etc.
