Here is my take on this:

Price: Euro Palmolive Gut 2.2
Quality: Yardley shaving soap
Scent: Joris /L'occitane Cade
Latherability: Valobra shave stick/Tabac
Efficacy: Tabac/Sir Irisch Moos
Moisturizing: Tabac/Sir Irisch Moos
Packaging: Joris/Tabac

For packaging; whilst the Tabac bowl is very practical, nothing in my collection compares to the beauty of the Joris Thuja wood bowl.

Correct, I bought one a couple months ago (below) but have not used it yet, still in its box until I use up some of my other soaps/creams. What's your thought on the Joris soap?

I like it a lot, it lathers up really easily and provides nice slick lather with ample cushion and has a fantastic scent slightly reminiscent of Floris no 89.

Tabac wins in four out of the seven catagories for me. It is not my favorite soup though because I do not like the scent that much and it seems to get dry relatively quick. Euro Palmolive is my overall favorite soap.

Besides the fact that for me this way of rating has an outcome that does not represent my favorite soaps which are Euro Palmolive( wins only one catogorie ) , Arko and Speick. I really like this idea. This can really be beneficial.

Thank you! I'm enjoying looking at these replies as well...:thumbup1: I put one in the creams section, too, but there are not many replies yet.

Somebody needs to mention Bath House Spanish Fig & Nutmeg. I guess that would be me...

I'm not nuts about the smell but it gives me better results than any other soap I've used, those being Tabac, Cella, Muhle, PDP, Trumpers, Conk, VDH, Williams, etc.

Hey...if you like Tabac that much, but not the scent, you should try Irisch Moos---same maker, very similar formulation, but a fresh, light kind of herbal smell. I L-O-V-E IM---for all the same reasons you like Tabac + I love its smell!
