No reason to not play Rick. Knowing who is sending you stuff shouldn't take much of the fun out of it. If you're letting people pick numbers, then you get what is left. Then it is still up to chance, right?

Sure, I'm in. Though I'm not sure how you envision this "pick a number and that's who you get" thing working. How do we pick our numbers? What's to stop us from picking duplicate numbers? Can I pick my nose instead of a number?

I envision it like this. Rick randomizes our names into a numbered list. Then in public we pick numbers from 1-X (where X is the number of participants) by posting our number choice. We'd keep track of numbers chosen so no duplicates. Go until all numbers are chosen. If someone happens to pick their own number, I guess rick could just swap them with the next number chosen (or somehting like that). Rick, is that how you envisioned it?

Okay, so I was just thinking...and we can do it how you want to, doesn't matter to me at all. But...

Each person simply chooses a number. That number corresponds with a list that I have (which you don't see). So, the Vez randomly picks number 11 which is Captain K. Captain K picks 3 which is Barber Eile and so forth. The only difference is YOU choose your number instead of me going down a list and plugging things into a random generator. Yes, some will choose the same number. I will say, pick again. I think it adds just a touch more interaction and suspense. Golly, gee, I chose number 3, who oh who could it be? And what did they get for me? See?

In the last one was it organised that two people sent to eachother? As I know myself and my person got each other. Was everyone paired up like that or was it just fluke?

Also I'm already going through ideas for round two things. Can't wait to get my cyber stalk on!!!

I think when I got to you and your sender there was only 2 left on the page. So, a bit of a fluke. I didn't know how many others would be joining in, so I went ahead and paired you two up instead of waiting around.

Well, if we announce our picks publicly in the thread, then everyone will see those picks and make sure that they don't choose a number that's already been taken. Therefore, if you tell them to pick again, that's a dead giveaway that they've picked their own number.

Am I understanding correctly, or am I missing more than my horse?

I said earlier I would have to wait before I did this again, but it was so much fun, I would like to participate again. count me in!
