    Default New Newbie

    Hello All,

Just doing the standard newbie check in.

Ive been wetshaving (the right way) for about two weeks, and could not be more satisfied with the results. This is course if thanks to the loads of information and quick responses given by the members of this board.

I don't know why it took me so long to register as a member.

So far my set up (I have to tell somebody since no one I know seems to have any regard of this fine art)

    Razor - Merkur 23C longhandle
    Blade - Merkur Double Plantinum
Creams - T&H Almond, Proraso, JM Fraser Classic, GFT Violet, AoS Unscented
Aftershave - Booster Polar Ice, Proraso ASB and Pre/Post sensitive, AoS Unscented, Nivea Sensitive Skin, alum block, Menscience aftershave, Thayers Unscented Alcohol free toner
Treatments - Anothony Logistics ingrown hair treatment

Glad to be the newest neighbor in the community

Hey JDiv - sounds like you and I are at about the same place on our journey - although I'm impressed by your variety after only 2 weeks! As far as shaving creams, I've tried AoS (sandalwood), Prorasso, and -- before getting into DE razor shaving -- I used a shaving cream product by Lush called "Shave the Planet."

I too began with Merkur blades, but have come to appreciate the Gillette 7 O'clocks. I will soon venture into trying some new blades, including the Red Israeli Personnas, Sharks, and finally the famed Feathers. I'm trying to take the advice of others on this forum, and not switch up too often.

    Good luck!

    -David

    Thanks for the warm welcome!

David - Thanks, I'm fortunate enough to live just outside of Toronto, with many friends living in the heart of Toronto due to school. This has allowed me to visit places like; Toronto beauty Supplies, T&H, and B. Sleuth and Stateman Inc.
