White whiskey

Here's a link to an interesting article in the Wall Street Journal. Has anyone tried any of these drinks? I must admit I'm intrigued by the description of Death Door. If I can find it locallly, I'll give it a taste test/review:

I tried this stuff a few weekends ago at their tasting room:


Surprisingly good. I'm more of a Scotch drinker but I liked it.

Plus they have a cool "Age Your Own Whiskey" kit. Hopefully the SO got the hint!

I'd love to give Ole Smoky a try!

I'm happy to say that Death's Door Gin is a local gin for me. Wonderful stuff. Makes a great G&T with Q Tonic. Haven't tried their mash though.

I like this one, also goes great for soaking cherries in, a bit more tame and flavorful than Everclear.

I grew up drinking moonshine (aka white lightning), the original white whiskey.

drinking white dog has always been akin a tasting beer before fermenting it, it's interesting and you can get a sense of it, but only enough to know that it's not as good as it could be...

I got me some of this. Not bad, really.
