What Aftershave did you use today?

WH followed by Proraso splash.

I used my typical Trumpers Lime Skin food, followed by a sample of T&H's sandalwood Aftershave Balm. The aftershave balm burned quite a bit (i usually use nivea sensitive aftershave balm, never burns, always soothing), my shave was a little "too close", which caused slight irritation, but i'm still confused as to why it burned. Anyone else experienced this with T&H Aftershaves?
