Sorry I couldn't make it. Hope to see you all next time.

SmoovD, can you post the names of the soaps in Ziploc's. I can remember a couple, but the whole list of what you brought is escaping me. I'm splitting mine off to a share with a friend new to the sport and I figured he'd want to know what he was trying.
I was thinking as far as format, if we planned for 4 meet-ups a year, we'd want to miss the major holiday/already busy months. How does January, April, July and October sound as a regular rotation? And please, if someone thinks of a fun side outing or interesting day trip nearby, please post a mention here.

The schedule sounds like a plan to me. I think the one that smells like Cella is P160.

I was planning to mark the bags but then totally spaced it. Sorry. The P.160 is almond. Fraser's is a industrial citrus. Valobra Menthol is a light...menthol. Proraso Sensitve is a mild green tea.
I will have to plan better next time.

Thanks man. I could remember a couple and I was cool with just trying them out and enjoying them. I just thought it'd be odd to pass them on to a newb without being able to tell him what he was trying. Spacing it is a way of life here, so you're cool. You did plenty and it's appreciated.

Sorry I missed the gathering. It's a pretty long haul for me coming from Abilene but I would like to make the next one. I'll keep an eye out for future get-togethers.

Well the Rasorrock was great and so was the palmolive.
I am going to use the sample cups I got the time before that have been in storage.

DropTopT - You've got a few options. Of course you're welcome to join in meet-ups here in the Metroplex, but you can also post a thread to see about organizing one in your neck of the woods. Feel free to subscribe to this thread if you want an email when there is a post here, which will let you know as we begin planning the next one. If you want to do your own, read through the old posts here, you'll pretty much see that it's not that hard.
I've tried the Arko, Green Irish Tweed, Razorock Cumba Cheech, and the P.160.
The scent of the Arko takes me back to elementary school janitorial closets. It's a great face latherer, but the smell, and gotta work on scuttle technique.
My wife liked the scent of the GIT, so I tried it and wow, that was a really nice soap. The scent on my face was much better than in the tub. Nice lather in the scuttle. First QCS, there will be others. Thanks, Deltaboy.
The RazoRock is another excellent soap, although the scent didn't wow me. Thanks, DSmoov for opening my eyes to the greatness of RazoRock.
I didn't get the P.160. The reviews talked about it being a really popular soap, but the lather was ok, and the scent seemed subdued. Gotta figure I did something to hamper it.

Almost time to start planning for the next gathering. How about David's BBQ in Arlington this time?
Hard to go wrong with BBQ. I heard rumors of October.

Yum, nuff said.

ARKO just need so be set out in a empty room for 3-5 days and it will die down the scent.
The Green Irish Tweed was a nice survive.

Do you completely unwrap the stick? Currently it's sitting on the bathroom counter half wrapped.
I've thought about grating it into a bowl, but thought I'd use it as is first.
I was completely caught off guard how much my opinion of the Green Irish Tweed scent changed from the bowl to my face. I'll never judge a scent from the package.
The Cumba Cheech is such great lather and I've used it enough that the scent is growing on me. Not there yet, but can't put it away either.
Funny that until the meet-up I'd used Col. Conk Bay Rum and MWF and now neither get much love as I've been working my way through the samples and back again.

I feel your pain, Jody. When I look at my den I see so many products that I really like but never seem to get into the rotation. Good thing my SWMBO is completely cool with my ADs.

I just tried a stick of arko for the first time and I have to say, I like it as is.
