Default My TOBS Lemon and Lime is all dry

Hi, all. Apologies if this has been addressed before, but I just received a tub of TOBS Lemon and Lime yesterday via Amazon. I've only used TOBS once in the past ... last year when I bought a tub of avocado. The avocado showed up and was nice and creamy, the lemon and lime not so much. It looks dried out. I swirled the wet brush to load up this morning, and the lather was fine and the shave good, but I'm wondering if this is normal. Is it? Should I rehydrate it somehow? Or should I return it?

    Thanks for any help!

As to returning it or rehydrating it, it's up to you. I would probably return it. Just wanted to say my Lemon and Lime is quite gelatinous. Not at all dry.

Sometimes a very thin dry layer can form on top of the cream. If this is the case you can simply mix it up with a spatula. If it is dry all the way through then I would consider returning it.

rinse a spatula and then mix it up, that usually takes care of it. The tiny but if water left on the spatula will help to add the smallest bit of moisture to is. As you work it you will notice it will start to soften.

Just tell Amazon, they'll probably tell you to throw the stuff away and send you a new tub.

How do you like the scent of the cream? I was considering ordering TOBS Lemon Lime tonight actually and was hoping to read something about it before I pulled the trigger on it.
In the reviews section some members describe it as not so citrusy.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I face lather with a Simpson brush.
Generally I like TOBS, especially Eton College.
But their lemon-lime smells like bathroom cleaner.
Tossed it out after one use; even though it shaved OK

I must be weird, every scent that is described by others as "soapy" or "like a cleaner" I love. Holds true for the TOBS Lemon and Lime, Arko, Williams. Just to name a few.

I think the variety is what makes wet shaving so enjoyable -- the huge number of creams, blades, etc.
One person's dislikes are another's loves.

i love the verbena scent of williams and others, but the lemon scent of 4711 and D.R. Harris Arlington reminds to much of lemon pledge...
