Default 3 mo of DE shaving and I have stopped hemorrhaging

Many thanks to all of the gentlemen who contributed to helping me turn the corner in my wet shaving experience. After much reading and planning (my God this is only a shave) I have successfully mapped out my face (great idea on the use of cotton balls to achieve this…Kudos to whomever) eliminated the variables and have come to the conclusion that the culprit was the Feather blade (and most likely poor technique on my part)

I have a Derby blade in use now and run a 4 pass on my face (ATG included as the final pass) and a 2 pass on the neck then with specific touch ups as needed. What can I say…BBS 100% of the time with no nicks, irritation or pimples. Shaving nirvana has been achieved and I can now see for myself that this is not a myth nor a cover up conspiracy.

This is a big “Thank You” to all the men who took the time to post.

I see from your post count you focused on learnig rather than posting.

Glad to hear that your shaves are much improved w/ no blood loss involved. It will only get better from here.

Very cool. My own personal magic combo at the moment are Derby blades in a Gillette Slim Adjustable. Just an absolutely beautiful shave. It's nice when it all comes together, isn't it?

I'm almost afraid to try the feathers in my sample pack now, or even the black beauties that just came in....LOL!!! SO FAR, I've only used the SHARK blades in my sample pack. THOSE are good for like 3 shaves on me....the 3rd being a good shave with an extensive, but not harsh touch-up.

Feathers are not for everyone. I, for one, do not like them. I can only get 2 shaves from them and they are just not smooth for me.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones! I have been using feathers in a Mekur slant, fantastic 3 pass shaves and have 5 shaves on current blade and it's still smooth.

Congrats! lol I never let much blood myself, but the razor burns used to be exquisite!! rofl

Also merlin_1977...Feathers are great, just make sure a light touch is all your applying, specially with a new blade in and it will be right as rain

BTW I get about 4-5 shaves off them, but again it is all variable to lots of things.
I love you Kana, now and forever. (Edit proposed by the lady herself.)
