This cat... Utterly amazing bass work..

Glad you liked. I really feel like those guys are amazing. That bassist has the style of Victor Wooten mixed with Edgar Myer's timing. ALL their tunes are smokin' not just the "reboots" (LOL) of other stuff.
As something of a jazz guy myself, (UNT baby!) this kind of work keeps me excited for the possible future of music.

And since I'm up and listening to music this morning, it looks like Tal Wilkenfeld wasn't mentioned either.

When you load up the video, at first scene you'll probably want to turn it off... but let it go. All these dudes are killer musicians. Songs may not be your cup of tea, but the musical ability is fantastic.. .worth the view. The bass stuff is wicked... parts are very Jaco/Wooten/Marcus Miller reminiscent.
Alot of my other faves have been covered. Tony Levin, Bootsy, Flea, Stephan Lessard, etc...
I'm a bit late too, all my favourites have appeared so I will just have to add to the votes for
Geddy Lee (obviously)
Steve Harris
John Entwhistle
John Illsley
Driving down the razor's edge 'tween the past and the future
I always loved the bass of Chuck Rainey of Steely Dan. Here's Peg being performed by a really good Swedish bass player.
