    Default Need some more collective wisdom!

    Hey guys,

    So, after finishing up my shave and wiping the water from my straight today I noticed a few small rust spots forming. I have horrifically hard water, and it seems that no matter how well I dry the blade this is probably going to keep happening.

    Any of you gents have any advice on cleaning these spots off and/or preventing this from happening? Should I just dry and oil the blade after every shave? Use distilled water to rinse it off with? I'm at a loss!

    a quick alcohol rinse should help you out there, make sure you loosen up the head to rinse it thoroughly.

    This is what I do after every shave. Plus once completely air dried I wipe the razor off with a silicone gun cloth.
