I have some soap in miso soup bowls also.
Works perfectly fine.

I'm using cheapo ziploc type semi-disposable tupperware bowls (they stack OK)

Rice/Miso Bowls with Lids are indeed fantastic! SWMBO has three and counting!

are good but not great, i have one tobac in one and two VDHs in another

there was a member who purchased the sugar bowls from walmart to keep his soaps in-very classy looking. I am not sure if they still sell them.
