    Default Aldo Morelli Pallazo 611

Just thought I'd share my latest briar purchase with you all. Its better than the one below, which is a stock picture off the net and has a lightness and quality of finish which is well worth the 720RMB I paid for it. Hope this isn't too over the odds. If I get another briar (which I certainly don't need) I'll be looking for something else in an elegant rustic style.

Congratulations on your new pipe, but sadly your pics didn't show up.

That's the one! And a better picture than the one I got. I've decided to dedicate it to Davidoff's Flake Medallions, or in a pinch, Dunhill's De Luxe Navy rolls.

I've only had one smoke in it, with the Flake Medallions, which I bought due to the rave reviews on tobaccoreviews.com. This is one gorgeous tobacco, like an amped-up R. McConnell's Scottish Cake. The pipe/tobacco combo was extremely full of flavour, bone-dry and a pure pleasure. If I get another briar over here, I'll certainly consider another Aldo Morelli, and a quarter-bent Dublin in this style would really suit me. Good to have another maker I can look out for, without having to spend a fortune.

As a quick aside, I was in Shanghai the other day and walked into a specialist tobacco shop right in the centre, which sold a few half-decent pipes. I asked what pipe tobacco they had and they said....none. They also didn't know where to get any. WTF?
