    Thanks, Brad!

Looks like mine is coming in today after the USPS indicated it would arrive yesterday. I guess that my post office just liked the scent and wanted to keep it a little longer. Anything to lift the spirits of the postal employees and customers.

Shaved with it this morning. Took a little work to figure out the lather, exactly (actually didn't get it quite right until the third pass!!!) but once it was dialed in, whew! Amazing slickness and cushion. The first two passes, I wasn't impressed. Going to have to figure out what finally made it so great. I guess I'll get to practice over the weekend!!
I am now a believer in the hype. Great soap.

    Thanks for putting this together!!

My shipment of MdC arrived a few moments ago. Too bad I shaved this morning otherwise I'd be firing this up right now. Anyway, I can see where some are not fond of the scent. It's not as strong as advertised, is more rosemary than lavender and my initial reaction is that it smells like a cold cream. Then again, I'm not going to be hired by a perfume house anytime soon because scents sometimes take a while for my olfactories to process completely. It's not bad, it's not great so for me it's sort of neutral.

The folks at MdC really pack the jars with soap. If you've ever had a tub of QCS' soap you'll understand what I'm talking about. Not a molecule more could have been added to the jar. And they sent along a small bar of bath soap to go with the shave soap - an unexpected bonus.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow to see if MdC lives up to its reputation.

Nole1, thanks again for doing the leg work that will allow me to enjoy this for the next year.

    Just got mine.

I have to say - I like the scent. The rosemary note is great. I don't think it is overpowering.

And they do indeed fill up the jar - at first I thought there was a piece of paper under the lid, but no, it's soap. I've no idea how they managed to fill it up like this. Presentation - the jar, the packaging - is top-notch.

I'm looking forward to using this.

Thanks again to nole1 for setting up the buy!

    +1 to all points -

got mine, love the scent, very full (thought there was a cover), presentation great... thanks to Brad for the buy.

    I used mine already!!!!

Heaps of lather, great cushion - wonderful stuff!

I love vintage soaps, but this year has seen the addition of Cella Extra Extra, Acca Kappa new-version-in-the-tub, RazoRock, and now MdC - what a lot of fabulous products. And only Vitos, Acqua di Parma, and Domenico Caraceni to go... and my soap 'n' cream collection will be complete. (hahahah it will never be complete, will it?)

    thanks again, Brad!

I know what you mean now that I have my first shave under my belt. My first pass was OK. However, I really felt a difference in the slickness between the second and third pass. It was a really big difference too not just something you acknowledge. It was more like wow, did that just happen? I'm guessing that either my brush needs to be drier or like MWF it likes slightly cooler water.

More experimentation to do this weekend and beyond. Oh, and I'm beginning to like the scent after being neutral. Guess my olfactories are beginning to process the scent plus it's a bit muted once lathered up.

Now, time to really start my Saturday.

MdC, Ikon BD OC, M&F 27mm Blonde horn, Sublime! Makes me want to figure out how to recycle used lather.

Mine arrived Yesterday. I shaved with it this morning. Absolutely wonderful. So glad I was able to get in on this. I had originally missed out, but as it turned out nole1 had to order a couple extra and he offered one to me. Thanks!

He also informed me that he randomly selected me to receive a sample of MdC shampoo, that apparently came in his order. I used it as well. Not as great as the soap, but what else compares to the soap really?

Thanks again for putting this together.
