Wife got me something

My wife got lured into Abocrombie & Fitch while at the mall .She said it was a scent coming from there that did it. The young man told her it was their "Fierce" scent. She said she had to buy it for me. She thinks it's sexy and loves it on me. Well, I'm all for being sexy

But, hey, I'm 50 yr's old( a young 50, most would say). Isn't A&F stuff all geared for much younger folks? Can a scent be "too young" for a rugged old guy like me?

The stuff wasn't cheap, that's for sure.

Yup. Fierce is kind of young "dude" scent, but don't worry about it. It's well thought of and it's not the kind of scent that makes you smell like you're "trying to hard." Your wife loves it and thinks you're sexy. Spray it on.

I had a bottle of this back in college when it first hit the shelves. I liked it then, but I haven't sniffed it in ages.

I pay no heed to age appriopriateness in fragrances. I wore Polo Green in junior high school. To hell with something being too old or too young for you. If you both like it, wear it like a man!

they say chanel platinum egoiste smells like fierce. i've smelled neither but the platinum egoiste interested me because i saw it going for a little bit cheaper in the grey market. check it out...

I'll concur with all: if it smells good to you, then wear it.
That said, it's tricky to control an association with a scent. If Wild Fern, for instance, reminds you of your grandfather (for some reason or other), and if you didn't like your grandfather (for some reason or other), chances are that Wild Fern won't smell "good" to you. If Fierce is associated with young men and if their values and beliefs don't match yours--or if you're jealous (like me) of all the life they have yet to look forward to--then it will be harder to enjoy the fragrance. (I see fragrance as powerful--and essentially uncontrollable.) On the other hand, if your wife is willing to associate you with sexy young men--and A&F's advertising shows that young men are indeed sexual--then it may be in your best interest to appreciate whatever that Fierce smells like. ;)
