End Caps

You'll have to certify that you're over the age of 18 first.

:lol::lol::lol:

I've seen enough razor porn on this site already:blushing:.

As much as I've heard people say their razors are missing end caps, I don't know which part that is. Either my razors all have their endcaps, or I don't know what I'm looking at.

Thanks so much. So, now I know the Sheraton I just bought has no endcaps. It obviously does not affect functionality. Amazingly enough, I just checked all of my tto's and all of them have encaps intact.

I have a feeling that there are a lot of razors whose endcaps did not survive the years. I assume they were just soldered on?

Endcaps did not appear till 1946. The models without endcaps have been plated where the endcaps should be and have a "finished" look. Those that have endcaps, anything made after 1946, will have a dull or tarnished look where the endcaps use to be. They were usually soldered on, although some models had a one piece assembly if I'm not mistaken.

As previously stated, the sheraton didn't have endcaps, so yours is good. Nice looking razor :thumbup1:

For what it's worth, Sheraton aren't supposed to have end caps. It is exactly how it is supposed to be.

Sweet! I'm a bit obsessive compulsive, and it was kind of driving me crazy that my razor was missing its endcaps. Not that I would have gone nuts looking for another one or anything...

Could anyone post a pic of a razor with and without end caps?

I have spent too many years in retail- when I read "end cap" I imaged the section of display area that runs perpendicular to a row, generally about 3 feet wide, where you place impulse buy items.
