Muhle R41 with Personna Med Prep. I think I'm finally getting the hang of the angle on this razor. It didn't eat my face and actually gave me a super close shave! One little nick on my adam's apple but other than that very little sting with the AS splash. Pretty frickin' proud of myself!

The Speik stick inspired me to go beyond my usual SAS/CCS as it didn't dry out on my face. I kept going, feeling out the rough spots and got a GREAT BBS that I couldn't stop checking out hours later. Made my day in fact!

Used Spieck Stick to wash my face and let it sit for a while as a pre-shave,
then it was Tabac and more Tabac from that point on.

DFS+ in one pass, WTG only. I kid you not.

Noob question.... what is meant by putting numbers inside parenthesis after your blade? I hope that's not how many shaves you've done without changing it (23?)!

Took a break from the lather-catcher (had to, being on the road) and shaved with a slim (set to 5) with a fresh vintage gillette platinum plus (metal dispenser) blade. Lovely smooth DFS in 2 easy passes.

It was a bad morning. Ouch ouch.

I used my Gem G-Bar, which I've had great results with in the past.
Loading a new blade - a Gem stainless.

I don't know what went wrong after that. Didn't cut myself per se - it feels more like I've been kidnapped, taken to a secret prison, and been exfoliated. Or burned.

Plus the shave was crap; as if I hadn't shaved at all.

Maybe I didn't hold the razor right - it has been a while. But the G-Bar is almost impossible not to hold right.

Bad blade?

I really think I have to skip a couple of days in order to heal.

Live and learn.

My brand spankin new Muhle R41 with a Wilkinson blade. VDH soap whipped up with a cheapo but neato Barbasol boar bristle brush in a Barbasol mug. Nicety nice!
