    Default Getting Started

I have been sucked into the whole idea of restoring a brush. The problem that I am having is that I can't find any brushes around me or the ones that I see on eBay go for more than I think I would want to use on my first one. Or I should say, I worry about my ability to restore a brush and think that destroying a brush is more likely. The process seems simple enough, at least from the descriptions.

So, I have a couple questions:

Where do you usually find your brushes?

Was I misreading or is the removal of the knot and resetting of a new knot pretty simple tasks?

How often do you have to try and set the knot deeper or make major changes to the original structure of the brush?
I'm experiencing a sensation altogether new to me, and frankly... I LOVE IT!

Ok, looks like I have my first brushes to work with. This one and this one.

I will post again once I get them in and once again rely on the knowledge here to help me.

The 2nd one looks like the base might be butterscotch.
    Good catch.

That's what I thought. But, I kinda like the other one a bit better. We will see if that holds true if I am able to polish them and get them looking good again and with a nice knot.
