Default Recommendations for a lady's DE razor

In reaction to my wife's bewilderment at my "obsession with shaving" I suggested that she give it a try...

She is 100% against anything used - new product only.

I am sure a longer handle would be a requirement - that said an EJ Chatsworth would be out of the price range for this experiment.

Also - is anyone aware of any standout blades for ladies shaving?

    Your help appreciated.

As for razors, maybe your Mrs. would like Merkur 23C (3 piece, light [2oz], long handle [4in])? This raor is moderately priced, considered to be fairly mild, straight bar / closed combed razors, for light, normal and medium beards and/or for persons with sensitive skin (I own both the 23C & 38).

"Merkur; Solingen quality, Time-tested Tradition with Modern Design".

I bought my 23C (and 38C), for $31US w/ free shipping), from The Superior Shave.

A NOS Lady Gillette would probably be hard to find and very expensive.

In the vintage category, the only one that I can think of that fits your requirements is a Schick Krona. They aren't that highly sought after by collectors, so a NOS example might not be out of reach.

I got my Mrs an EJ DE86, basically the same as a DE89 but with a faux ebony handle and a matching EJ brush. She loves it.
I have far too much stuff to even begin to list it here...

Another vote for the Merkur 23C.
