Nice. They had that sale last week at my C&E store. Spend over $40 and all sorts of deals.

Found this Yardley set at a local antique shop. Anybody have a clue as to how old this is?

Rich...Awesome find on the Yardley set. It looks fantastic! Gordon over at SMF is quite the Yardley buff. I would imagine he could tell you what era that package came from. He often uses the vintage soaps. I'd post this over there and ask the advice of "The Duke".

Got a copy of Badger and Blade: Beginners Guide to Wet Shaving by our resident scrivener and bay rummy Ednest Hemingway. (autographed, of course.) Thanks Ed. You really did an outstanding job.

On a non-shaving note. I received my Aeropress. Now what?

Got some seriously speedy shipping on the new Merkur 38C from Lee's Razors along with a ten-pack of Merkur blades as part of his 38C special to B&B members. It's got some serious heft! I'm very excited to try this thing as it will my first forray into shaving with something other than an old Gillette I've scrubbed clean.

Also got a tube of Musgo Real cream - it's been on my must-try list for a long time, and hey, I was placing an order anyway

FYI - There is a chance the heads were reversed with the barrels on the second and third gold razors on the top. As far as I know the barrel style on the third from the left gold razor only came as an open comb model. The barrel style of the middle gold razor (ball end) came in an open comb style and in Tech-style head (the first and third gold razors have Tech-style heads). Hope that was clear.

P.S. that was an outstanding price for the auction you won - nice job!
    Cheers, Dave
