We just sold our 2005 Kia Sedona minivan. We have only one car at the moment -- a 1999 Olds Eighty Eight (same as a Buick LeSabre/Pontiac Bonneville) that we bought new when my wife used to work at an Olds dealership. It has the 3800 Series II V6 -- one of the best engines ever made and has never let us down at all, always starts and runs flawlessly.

We are in the market for another car -- a minivan. I will probably buy a Chrysler or Dodge minivan. Also, I'd like to pick up a classic e30 BMW. I used to have an '84 325e that was lowered and was black with black BBS rims on low profile tires, and had some hop-up suspension goodies. That thing was a blast to drive.

Subaru all the way-right now an Outback, a WRX and a Forrester!

About the Alfa thing.... I LOVE Alfas, the old giulietta spider is one of my dream cars. When I was in high school I wanted a Alfa so bad I could taste it but living in Iowa, and being a poor student made that impossible. Instead I was able to find (to my 17 year old mind) the "next best thing" a 1971 Fiat 850 Sport Spider. That POS was the most maddening thing I have ever had the misfortune of wrenching on. It kind of soured my desire to own any other Italian cars. The taste is returning but slowly.

Currently this tiny little marvel, but with a new baby, a more vannish thing is in the offing.

I say marvel because as small as it is, it doesn't feel like a toy, is fun to drive and fits my 6'1" frame just fine.

Up until 2 months ago, I was driving a 2007 Pontiac Torrent. It got a horrid 17 mpg.

Traded it for a 2009 Chevy HHR that is getting on average 28mpg.

Much better considering how quickly gas is climbing towards the $4 mark.

Just bought it a couple of weeks ago after my '98 Civic became contradictory to my wish not to die a horrible death.

Nissan Altima 05- I am pretty happy with it. The nicest car I have ever had, replaced a toyota corrola0 which was trouble free until the end.

Until a couple of months ago, a 2005 Mustang GT. Now, an '08 Ford Fusion for me (Great trouble-free car, but vanilla as hell w/the 4cyl), and a 2011 Ford Escape for my lovely wife.
The Fusion is as appliance-like as a Honda, and dead nuts reliable, but boring as can be.

Currently two Mazda Protege's, a 2001 LX and a 2003 Protege 5 both manual transmissions. Both getting towards the end of their useful lifespans for us. Both getting a little small for two kids and getting a little heavy on the maintenance. Hint never buy two cars really close to each other (especially if they're the same make/type) Nothing like getting hit with two timing belt changes at the same time!!
Currently looking at a decent midsize sedan with a manual, which is pretty tough to find nowadays. No V6 anymore and the 4 bangers are often pretty stripped down. But we'll see what we can do. Thinking about a WRX or a Mazda6. Other car will most likely be a midsize SUV like a Forester or maybe even a CX9/Explorer.

    '01 Cherokee.

It's just like me; boxy and boring

Vehicles have meant very little to me after I turned 21. I'll probably own this thing until it just won't go anymore.

Currently, a 2006 Honda Civic EX. I liked my first Civic ('97 HX) so much, that after it was forcibly retired from behind by a Dodge Ram truck while waiting for the red light to turn green, I decided that another Civic might be a good idea.
