I am fortunate that I can afford all that I need and much of what I want but my main 3 hobbies have to be kept in check. USA made acoustic guitars, knives and now dabbling in some vintage shaving stuff. I picked up an F2 Fatboy on the big auction site for $25 and it cleaned/polished up very nice and I'd say as nice as some going for twice what I paid. I then decided a period case would also be nice but lo and behold the case I was watching went for almost $29! I know the value of original cases with antiques but am wondering if this is true for razors as well? I'm sure it adds to the value but does it surpass the item itself?
