Brush handle finish

I'm thinking about making a brush or 2 and as is my usual habit, I like to think everything through before I jump in.

On TGN site there is a very brief explanation about handle making. There is a place where the "CA finish is applied". OK, is CA "cyano acrylate" (sp?- "super glue"), if not what is it and if so how is it applied?

TIA

Cyanoacrylate glue, aka Superglue, or shortly just CA, can be used as a finish on handles. Personally, I have used it a few times, works very good on certain shapes, but is not easy to apply and sand/polish if the shapes are complex and have small rings, beads, coves etc.
I use it on most of my pens, all my wooden pens have a CA finish. I apply about 5-6 coats of thin CA, using an accelerator spray in between application. It is the only way of applying a perfect, shiny, glossy finish in less than 5 minutes and without extended drying time as a varnish would need.
