Noob Here. First Humi Help

Let me first start off by saying that I have very, very limited experience in the world of cigars. So far I'm enjoying myself, however I'm hesitant to order a sampler or any large order without having a humidor to put them in. I'm looking for a humidor in the 50 to 100 count range. I understand that the actual amount of cigars that will fit depends on size and will vary greatly, however I don't see myself having much more than 30-40 cigars at a time. I would like to stay around $50 if possible and still get a quality humidor. Aesthetics are important to me, but performance takes priority. I know that you get what you pay for and I'm not expecting a high end humidor in that price range, but I would like something that I am not embarrased to display. I have three picked out, and if anyone has experience with them please guide me in the right directions. I'm also open to any other suggestions you have as well. Thanks in advance.

I have been pleased with the products I've gotten from Tampa as well. I haven't gotten the model you depicted but as Leche said they stand behind their products. I like the sure seal humidors from them the best and they do have one in your price range, and I think the cedar is thicker on those models. They are nice to talk to on the phone so you could call and ask them. It may not be to your taste but the sureseal Humidor is here. I don't think you'll have a problem with your first choice, but my experience is with the sureseal models.

Hey Travis, I just went through the same process last week (the thread the Count directed you toward) so if I can be of any assistance, please let me know. Feel free to PM me if you like.
One thing that I will tell you to watch for are the shipping costs. Some vendors really hit you in the wallet pretty hard to ship a humi, so when comparing prices, be sure to factor that in.

Also, you will probably find that no matter what brand name is on the humidor, many of the good quality ones are suspiciously similar. So if you see two that look exactly alike and share the same specs, it is probably a safe bet that they actually come from the same mfr, but wear a different brand. That is my unconfirmed suspicion, so take it for what it is worth - I could be completely off base on it.

Take at least a couple of days to check all of your options. I found some pretty large price differences on the exact same humidors from different vendors.

If you are looking for a package deal, I highly recommend taking a look at Cigars International. If you buy their cigar "deal of the day", your entire order ships free. Also, look at their auction site, Cigarbid.com - there are deals to be had on both cigars and humidors there!

You have many options & you certainly won't go wrong listening to everyone except me!

Thanks for all of the helpful replies. After a lot of thought, I have decided to go with the Tuscany model from Cigars International. I'll be sure to let you all know how I like it.

Check out cheaphumidors . com , they have a great selection and are having an imperfects sale right now so you can score a very nice humidor for cheap

Imperfects are a great way to start as most of the time its only the packaging that is damage but remember buyer beware.

+1 for tampa humidors i got my humidor there and couldnt be happier
