When to use Franz Swaty Barber Hone?

I am new to Str8 shaving and starting to hone my own razors. After reading in this forum I bought Norton 1000, and 4000/8000 hones plus a 12K Naniwa. Then on impulse on eBay I won a Franz Swaty Barber hone (8" w/ wood box).

My question is when do you use the barber hone in progression (or just for touch-up?)? Thanx.

A Swaty barbers hone is great for touch-ups because it's so fast: five passes and you're done. However, you may prefer the edge off of your Naniwa 12K. I used a Swaty for touch-ups for 28 years but the world has moved forward since then.

The 12K Naniwa pretty much takes the Swaty out of the game.
But like Chimensch wrote, it's a great stone for touch-ups & the edge it creates ain't bad at all.
If you want to use it in the progression it's place would be after the 8K IMO.
