Hey all,
So yesterday I heeded some prior advice and paid closer attention to my shave prep and it made a big difference. Much better and more comfortable lather and the razor seemed to glide easier. I was really focused on slowing down and concentrating on blade angle/pressure. It still feels a bit awkward in spots but I am getting used to it. I felt so comfortable after my 2nd pass that I decided to try an ATG pass on my neck and I'm happy to report that I suffered no irritation, nicks, etc.
I have three questions for you more seasoned shavers out there...
1) Is there any way besides a scuttle to keep my lather/brush hot in between applications?
2) Do you have any advice for the XTG pass, specifically on the neck? It just feels awkward to me. (Grain grows on an angle towards my shoulders under the cheeks and north-south directly under my chin)
3) After how many shaves should I replace my blade?
Thanks guys!
