Yeah, but these are the Personna 74s, which are probably the most revered blade I've ever heard talked about in these pages. Few and far between they may be, but I've been told they're almost friggin' indestructible.
I won't be buying them, but I'll bet someone will.

On the wrist this week: Fortis Millenium Starship Limited Edition Flieger Chrono in Valjoux 7750
I got about 10 of them in a lot about 2 yrs. ago. I used them. They were very good, I got about 10-12 excellent shaves before they started to make me feel they were wearing down. But $10.00 a blade? No, sorry, they're not that good. They just last longer than other blades. They really don't feel any better than several other quality blades that I can think of. Just my .02 cents.

Nothing lasts forever...not even your troubles.
For that price, you think he'd at least offer Free Shipping.
I Came. I Shaved. I Conquered.
So for the sake of argument, what would be a fair asking price?
I Came. I Shaved. I Conquered.
I realise that the price has a lot to do with scarcity, but if people will pay that kind of money, why doesn't someone start making tungsten blades again?
At $10 a blade, one might imagine Gillette starting to get interested...
I think some of the numbers people are throwing around are gross underestimates. I would never pay $10 for a razor blade, but these are almost unanimously considered to be the best blade ever made, and us wetshavers never agree about what is "the best." The price is obviously high. But there is no way $2 a blade will buy you a sealed pack of 74's. Unless you find some at an estate sale, but then a toggle would be $5, a british aristocrat would be $10. Its a slippery slope argument. Is it worth it to me, definitely not. But some people don't care how much stuff costs, as some recent ebay auctions indicate
