That is indeed a Tuckaway. Looks like someone did a DIY number on the case, though. Still, nice score! These are cool little razors.

Tuckaway, not bad for the shape its in. Saw that while browing the ads and thought about it, but already have a nice tuckaway in the collection. Really good shavers actually.

Yeah, I heard they are good. You're right about the case - I think the interior hadn't been refinished, the words "Tuckaway" would have been visible and the price would have gone up.

Yup, it's a Tuckaway. The interior has been redone, originally they're in purple with the Gillette logo and "Tuckaway" in either gold or silver depending on which metal the set is in. The blade box is also missing it looks like, but that's still a great deal!!

I love the Tuckaway, it's my most frequently used razor despite it's small size and I felt the need to have both the gold and silver sets

The razor looks like it's just tarnished and should clean up nicely with a little silver polish or a silver tarnish wipe.

Great score and get ready for it, you're gonna love that little razor!!!

    Congratulations.

I love the way a Tuckaway looks. It's sweet. Yet, I was surprised at the aggressiveness of its shave. Yikes. It was mean. I'll probably keep mine though. I love the case and all. Maybe I'll try a different blade. Had used a Shark.

Just received it - cleaned it up using baking soda and aluminum foil, then a quick polish with with Mr. Metal...

I got a Tuckaway too and it's really easy to clean up. Definitely a keeper and good travel razor. Unfortunately I don't have a case for mine :(

    The verdict:

My neck has always been a problem. The Tuckaway did a very nice job with two passes. I'd rank it as one of my more aggressive shavers. Nice and close, though.

Where do all of these 1 bid razors come from!? I have found razors described so badly that I thought no one would see them, but the bidders were there like flies on honey. Your razor was described pretty well..."vintage Gillette safety razor in silver box" and you are the only bid?

    Awesome and lucky.
