What do you guys wash your face with before you shave?!

I typically wash my face with nivea pre shave face wash on the days before I shave.

I'm just curious what others tend to wash their face with before shaving?

I'm alternating between Out of Africa's Black Soap (rich in Shea Butter) and Pear's Glycerin ... when the weather gets warmer, I'll be putting Burt's Bees bar soap into the mix.

No matter which soap, I always rub it in well, let it sit for a minute, rinse it off and repeat. Then, I follow it with Thayers Lavender WH.

I just shower. I figure the lather/razor combo will do the cleaning/exfoliation so I don't worry about washing my face separately. I do use nivea moisturizing cleanser on the days I don't shave though.

Although I don't usually go for the modern products, I've found that I really like the Gillette Series Pre Shave Wash. It's soap free and really seems to soften the bristles, without drying the skin.

I too also use Gillette Pre-shave wash, not that exact one but similar. Works great!
