Default Kudos To Queen Charlotte Shaving For My Custom Products (pic heavy)

Hi everyone! I already posted this in the Shaving Soap forum but wanted to post it here as well to give kudos to an awesome vendor that is one of our own. I wasn't sure if it should go in the vendor corner instead so mods please move it or delete it as is appropriate.
Sorry this rant is so long but I wanted to give credit where it's due.

I was in bad need of some retail therapy lately so I figured I would treat myself to something I have always wanted - a nice Strawberry scented shaving soap. Now I LOVE my Key Lime Queen charlotte shaving soap and having tried many soaps and creams I simply can't deny that Matthew's soaps are the best for me. I tried for a long time to give others a fair chance, to have several favourites, but you know what? I can't. His products just rock. I've tried T&H, TOBS, Cella, Monsavon, Tallow Palmolive, Mama Bears, GB, Cremo etc. etc. and QC stands above them all in terms of scents and lather for me. I'm not saying the others aren't great soaps though, don't get me wrong.

So Matthew and I had many e-mails sent back and forth and firstly I have to give HUGE kudos to him for being so great and patient in helping me create the custom shaving soaps. I decided to get a few as the shipping is quite expensive (yeah... that's it... ).

In the end I settled on Orange EO soap, Strawberry FO soap, Rice Flower and Shea FO soap. I also picked up three of his soaps and he was kind enough to to put in two samples for me too - Rose and Vostok (free of charge as I have a large order!).

They arrived this week (SUPER fast shipping to Ireland) and here's the haul:

And these tubs are HUGE. He really fills them right to the brim:

And the best part is, because he already had the fragrances there was no extra cost! Just the same price as the soaps on his website. So I'd urge any of you out there looking to get a scent you can't find elsewhere to have a chat to Matthew about this as he has tons more than the ones he has advertised on his site!

So of course I had to give it a whirl so I opened up the Orange one yesterday and tried it out. I actually started smiling when the wafts of orange scent rose up as a lathered and it was as easy as ever to get a nice thick slick lather. I leg-lather in the shower so couldn't take pictures of that but I whipped up a batch in a bowl today to share some pictures with you guys. I haven't bowl lathered in a long time so there are some tiny bubbles there but you get a good idea of the quality of this soap.

    Lather-porn at it's best:

So yeah, sorry for the long post but I was very happy with the product and service and wanted to say a public Thank You to one of our own!

I really, realllllly love the Key Lime.

I need to branch out and get a couple more scents, but sweet lord I'll have to add on to my bathroom.

    Great product and service though.

I have an iPhone. I find it takes an OK picture but they are always WAY darker when I put them on my PC than they look on the phone, so I have to edit them in photoshop which is no problem to me.
So it doesn't take great pics but I can edit well I guess!

Excellent post, great pictures and I agree that Matt does a very good job with scents and lather-ability. I like the Key Lime as well and will more than likely order some more of that soon.

The samplers are an excellent way to start with Matt's (QCS) product line.

I got one and the samples are excellent and will last for many shaves.

So glad to see such a thread - I ordered a 5 pot sampler last week, hoping it arrives here in Oz this week. Some very nice (and different) scents available from QCS and if i like my samples, I'm pretty certain to drop my TOBS SJS and stick with QCS - might even have to try customing some scents. Now am I right in thinking they are more a cream than a soap?

That really is a beautiful looking lather too!!

    Thank you

And I guess they are a very very dense thick cream. Def not like a clear glycerin soap or like a traditional bath soap texture. More like a very very dense mousse almost I guess? I find this type of soap super easy to load and lather.
