New Style Work Shoes

I have always just went to DSW and purchased my work shoes. Provided them with little care and end up getting new ones after about 2 years. I was thinking about getting some nicer quality work shoes but the places I have looked have some pretty dated styles. Any recommendations on where to look? I would like to spend under $300.

first, don't go back to DSW. the only place I can think of is Nordstrom Rack or one of the higher end discount retailers (Off Fifth or Last Call). You'll typically find higher quality shoes at cheaper prices, although, the pickings will be slim.

You know what. After looking for an example I guess I'm not as much looking for stylish as a cleaner/classic look. I wear a suit to work.

Try Men's Wearhouse.

They have some pretty nice shoes, although the selection is limited.

Not sure if the link worked but if you keep an eye on Zappos you can find Allen Edmonds go on sale from time to time. The are good quality american made shoes you can send back to the factory to get re- soled.

I am also a fan of Bostonian. If you want a longer lifer out of them buy the leather soles that are thicker.
