Default Gillette Super Thin - Thai vs. Vietnam

I just tried a Thai Super Thin last night with my E-Jag and the only weeping was my tears of joy. I just bought 200 Voskhods, but I'll be loading up on these as well.

They remind me so much of Iridiums it's crazy. Granted it's only one shave under my belt so I don't know about the longevity but at under $20/hundred, I don't care.

I'm curious though if there's any difference between the two versions or if it's just packaging.

Don't know, but the Thai version is a nice blade.

IIRC, I think they are the same blade made in China and packaged for different markets.

I have some of them and they are nice blades for me.

They both state Gillette Shanghai so I expect them to be the same too but only tried the Vietnamese ones. One of the nicest Gillette-branded blades that I used.

I have both versions of Super Thin and the Vietnamese ones claim platinum while the Thai do not. Both are excellent blades. I got ten shaves outta Thai blade once and another member got 13.
I went ahead and bought 500 of em ;)

I have the vietnamese ones, and tried two blades and they were tuggy and uncomfortable. I may try them again in the future, but they're not part of my rotation -=at all=-. Probably the worst blades I've ever tried, thus far.

The Thai I used was the exact opposite experience. I think the YMMV game is the most fun (and sometimes most frustrating) part of this hobby.

That's impressive. I feel like a stumbled on a gold mine.
