Chubby 2 in best.
Perfect size for me and amazing density.![]()
I currently only own a Chubby 1 Super 3 band and love it. I'd like to add a Chubby 2 to my collection of Simpsons, but I've not decided yet in which grade of hair.

The Vulfix made Chubby 1 in Best is the finest brush, per my personal preferences, that I have used, regardless of price/hair type. It has the perfect balance of soft/sensory 'feedback/scrubiness', makes quick work of the hard milled soaps I have a preference for, has a lovely fan/bulb hybrid shape to it, and the seemingly undersized handle soon becomes a pleasure when you get used to it (I hold it doorknob-like) - as you can tell, I enjoy this brush a lot![]()
Chubby 2 in Best - as used by 3 generations of the Simpson family!
I really enjoy my Chubby 2 in Super 3 band. Very luxurious plus backbone.
Well, I've figured out that I prefer the CH1 over the CH2. The CH2 is nice, but the knot is too large for my tastes, although I do prefer the handle over the CH1. Which means the CH3 is out of the question - it would be way to big for me.
Now, I have a CH1 in two band super and a CH1 in three band super and I love them equally. Haven't gotten my hands on a CH1 in best yet, so cannot really answer this pole. But I can say, that so far the Simpson CH1 range is my favorite out of all the badger brushes I've tried/had over the years.

Gotta vote for the CH3 Super, since that's the one I have...although I am quite sure the CH2 would be a better size for me! Like the CH3; it's just a tad big!
Haven't tried a CH-1 in Best yet, but I much prefer my CH-1 in 3 band Super to the same brush in 2-band.
CH2 Best is amazing![]()

I haven't voted as my Chubby 1 Super is my first experience with both the Simpson name and the Chubby range, thanks to a purchase on the BST....
All I can say is so far, this is my ultimate brush! My Omega Badger and Rooney doesn't even come close !!!!
Cheers, Paul
Chubby 2 Best if Vintage (My vintages' knots are MUCH smaller than modern chub 2's)
Chubby 1 Best for the current ones.

Chubby 2 is surprisingly large when in actual use. It outsizes the Tabac glass and MWF among others so I can't fathom using a 3.

Chubby 3 in 3-band Super...
Bespoke... that's british for "Hand over your money, Sir!"
Pre-Vulfix Chubby 1 in two band super. It's my favorite brush of all time over Edwin Jager, Vulfix, Kent (the B&B group buys), Shavemanc and some other Simpsons (Tulip, EMperor, also in two band).
Some year I have got to try something from Simpsons that isn't two band super....
Cheers, Dave
